Transparency and Integrity of the Electoral Process: Monitoring Report of the Bulgarian elections for 42nd National Assembly
On 9 July 2013, Transparency International – Bulgaria announced the final results of the monitoring conducted during the elections for 42nd National Assembly. The report highlights a number of deficiencies, not only in the functioning of the institutions responsible for the conduct of fair and democratic elections, but also present within the participants in the electoral process – political parties, coalitions and independent candidates. The monitoring has been implemented on the basis of research methodology, consisting of three components:
1) Road Map of the institutional activities;
2) Integrity Pact for Fair and Democratic Elections, with the participation of the political parties;
3) Election Day monitoring, carried out by 266 observers in all constituencies countrywide.
The monitoring report is available to download here.
